New York Rangers' center, Artem Anisimov, has seen better days on the scoresheet.

Ice Cold
While cross-town rival John Tavares of the Islanders is white-hot these days--so much so that he's put himself in the running for the Art Ross trophy--, the Rangers' Artem Anisimov is ice cold, as demonstrated by his 17-game streak without a point. Check out the NHL's hottest, and coldest, players.

PLAYER NEWS

Richard Bachman, G
Dallas Stars
2012/02/04:  Backup goaltender Richard Bachman will get playing time the remainder of the season according to coach Glen Gulutzan. Last season Kari Lehtonen played in 33 of the Stars last 34 games and it took its toll on the netminder as he struggled down the stretch. The Stars play four back-to-back games this month so look for the young netminder to play at least once in each of the two games as they try to keep Lehtonen fresh. "Any goalie would wear down with the schedule we have in February," Gulutzan said. "But, just as important is that we have confidence in Bachs, and we know he's going to be there for us. We're going to need the entire roster, and he's a big part of that." (Source: Dallas Morning News)

Brett Lebda, D
Columbus Blue Jackets
2012/02/04:  Brett Lebda suffered a hand injury in the first period and did not return. Just an FYI. Consider him day-to-day for now. Lebda has no fantasy value. (Source: Rotoworld.com)

Mark Dekanich, G
Columbus Blue Jackets
2012/02/04:  Mark Dekanich has undergone surgery on his ankle and will be gone for the season. This was a lost year for the netminder who entered training camp as the favorite for the backup job in Columbus but a series of injuries, culminating with the latest ankle injury, ruined his season. He should be ready for the start of training camp. (Source: Columbus Dispatch)
